Medical breakthroughs don’t happen overnight. They start in federally funded labs where researchers dedicate time and effort to unravel the mysteries of disease. When funding is cut, progress slows to a halt—delaying, and oftentimes preventing, access to desperately needed treatment and cures.

This campaign isn’t just about facts and figures; it’s about breaking through the noise with real stories that show what’s truly at stake.

By sharing the voices of those who have benefited from or lost access to federally funded research or clinical trials—and researchers whose work has been stalled, downsized, or defunded—we can push Congress to protect and restore critical research funding.

Founder

I’m Karen Kaludov—a communications strategist, and patient living with uveal melanoma, a rare cancer. I’ve spent my career helping people tell stories and using those stories to shape public understanding and influence policy.

Now, I’m fighting for a cause that’s deeply personal. My future, and that of many others, depends on continued federal investment in biomedical research. That’s why I founded Health Cuts Cost, Inc. and launched the #HealthCutsCost campaign—to make the impact of research funding cuts clear, emotional, and impossible to ignore.

See how you can strengthen our impact.
