Decide how your story may be used

If you select “Yes”, your story may be shared on our website, on social media, with lawmakers, and with the media to highlight the impact of research funding. Stories (and videos) may be edited for length or clarity, but the meaning will not be changed. By granting permission, you also understand that your story (and, if you choose, your image/voice from video) may be used without compensation. You may withdraw permission at any time for future use, but we cannot retract materials already published.

Tell us the name or description you’d like us to use when sharing your story. For example:
• Maria McDonald, a stage 4 melanoma survivor
• James, the parent of a child with cystic fibrosis
• A patient with ALS from Florida
• Dr. Lee, a cancer immunotherapy researcher in Texas

This might include speaking with a journalist, sharing your story with lawmakers and/or advocacy organizations, or being featured in campaign materials. You will always be contacted first and nothing will be shared without your permission.
